The region's capital offers many attractions for Guests.
- Warmian Chapter Castle in Olsztyn
The castle in Olsztyn was built in the Gothic period (14th–15th century). It was here in the 16th century that Nicolaus Copernicus lived while serving as administrator of the Warmian Chapter's estates. The most valuable monument of the castle in Olsztyn is the astronomical table that Copernicus used to determine the date of the vernal equinox. It is the only astronomical instrument in the world preserved to this day that was made by the eminent astronomer by hand.
- Ukiel Recreation and Sports Centre
Located on the shores of Olsztyn's largest lake, Ukiel, the centre provides excellent conditions for active recreation in a natural setting. In summer there are several supervised bathing areas, a water playground for children, and you can rent sports equipment – kayaks, pedal boats, rowboats, sailboats, canoes and many others. There is a water playground for children, several beach volleyball courts, and the only year-round beach volleyball hall in Poland with specially heated and sprayed sand. There is also a skatepark, a basketball court and a water-ski lift. An eco-water tram operates on the lake.
- Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory
The facility offers many interesting thematic shows (not only astronomical) for children, youth and adults. Night sky shows take place on the Observatory's terrace.
- Warmiolandia
Warmiolandia is the largest children's playroom in the region. Monkey Grove, a variety of play structures, hideouts, obstacles, trampolines, slides, a multimedia table, electric cars, activities run by animators, and live mascots led by Warmis will not allow any child to get bored. A special area for toddlers and an outdoor green garden have also been arranged. You can also eat here – the menu is dominated by dishes for children.
