Lake Szeląg Wielki is considered one of the most beautiful Masurian lakes.
The waters of Szeląg are very clean and cool, which is why notable fish species live here: vendace, whitefish, eel and others. From Szeląg Wielki you can sail along the Taborzanka River to Lake Tabórz located in the center of the Tabórz Pine Reserve or along the Szelążnica River to Lake Pauzeńskie and further by canal to Ostróda.
